Original Art Piece by Pablo Picasso
Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso was a Spanish painter, draftsman, sculptor, graphic artist, jewelery designer and ceramicist. He was one of the most famous Spanish painters.
At the age of fourteen he was admitted to the art academy of Barcelona. In the following year he took part in an exhibition with the painting First Communion. He immediately received critical acclaim. It marked the beginning of a successful and influential career. It is not entirely coincidental that Picasso became involved in the art world at a young age. His father was a painter and art teacher. He already recognized his son’s unprecedented talent in his children’s drawings. His father accompanied him in the artistic start phase, after which Picasso was educated in Barcelona and Madrid. However, in 1898, at the age of 17, the young Picasso no longer saw any point in the art academy. He breaks with his education and starts working as a free artist. Three years later he exhibits in Paris. Even before the exhibition opened, fifteen of the sixty-five works had been sold.
